Fabric Care Advice

To ensure you get the best from your lovely new fabric, we recommend pre-washing prior to cutting & sewing. Some fabrics can shrink when they are first washed, this is perfectly normal, but it is helpful to wash them before you make up your garments, this will ensure they still fit you!

Keep your fabrics looking fresh by washing on a 30 degree wash wherever possible. We find this is the ideal temperature for most handmade garments to avoid shrinkage, fading or damage. Some fabrics may require special washing and handling, if this is the case we will always try to advise in the individual fabric de script ions. However, it is the buyer’s responsibility to test wash all fabrics – we suggest using a small swatch if you are unsure.
